Vietnam’s destinations are honored by TripAdvisor

TripAdvisor, the largest travel guide platform in the World, recently announced the winners of the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2024 Awards, with many different destinations in Vietnam being honored.

The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best is Tripadvisor’s annual award. This award is honored to destinations whose hotels, restaurants, and entertainment activities received overwhelming reviews and opinions from the community over 12 months.

Less than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, representing the highest level of excellence in travel.

Specifically, in the category “World’s Leading Destinations”, Hanoi ranked 4th, and Hoi An ancient town (Quang Nam) ranked 10th out of 25 destinations.

Possessing ancient beauty, Hanoi is a favorite destination for tourists from all over the world, especially for those who are passionate about learning about the history, culture, and people of Vietnam.

According to Tripadvisor, the capital of a thousand years of civilization still preserves the old town and colonial architecture while still having room to develop modern buildings. Although it no longer bears the name Thang Long (rising dragon), the heroic past still exists, such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoa Lo Prison, etc.

TripAdvisor says: “Lakes, parks, and pagodas add to the appeal of this city. Tourists can easily explore the city by taxi.”

In addition, Hanoi is also the top name in the list of “25 culinary destinations in the world” of this year’s award.

As for Hoi An, this page describes: “Located on the Central Coast of Vietnam in Quang Nam province, Hoi An was once an important trading port of Southeast Asia from the 15th to 19th centuries, and still well preserved until now. Nowadays, Hoi An is a popular destination for backpackers, especially becoming more popular with foreign tourists. On the 14th day of every lunar month, Hoi An is sparkling and full of romance in the light of traditional colorful lanterns. In addition, the old town also has famous attractions such as Covered Bridge and Quan Cong Temple.
